To cap a fortnight of superb leaks from Sony in the run up to next week’s announcement, here’s what claims – very realistically – to be of the dev kit of Orbis, Sony’s codename for PS4.

Easily the most interesting thing about the image is what could be the DualShock 4, a replacement for Sony’s nearly 20-year-old joypad design. From the angle the picture’s taken it looks a bit lumpen, but actually may not be quite as ugly viewed straight on.

There’s lots of new stuff going on: the blue rectangle on the back will provide PS Move functionality, a Wii-style built-in speak and a touchpad on top as well as redesigned analogue sticks. All should be revealed on the 20 February, but this is a very interesting pointer as to what we’re likely to see.
